The Newfoundland cod stocks. What has happened to cod fishing off the Grand Banks of Newfoundland?

Several centuries ago, John Cabot, sailing under the English flag, found the richest fishing area the world would come to know. Cod stocks in the Grand Banks region off the coast of Newfoundland were so bountiful and endless that the wheels starting to turn. England saw the potential wealth that cod fishing could bring their country.

Cod fish, once caught, could be dried and salted and sailed back to Europe. Cod was light and easily transported and furthermore, less expensive that other meats such as beef, pork, or lamb. The English fisherman saw large cod fish, sturgeon and salmon and very much plentiful. Huge oysters, herring, and squid

Author: Christopher Null: Publisher: Sutro Press ISBN: 0972098119

There aren’t many books pertaining to movie reviewing, and in fact, according to Christopher Null, the author of Five Stars: How To Become A Film Critic, The World’s Greatest Job, this is the first manual for aspiring film critics ever to be published.

Null is the founder of the web site, filmcritic.com that today is one of the largest and most successful movie websites on the Internet.

As the author points out, the primary focus of Five Stars: How To Become A Film Critic, The World’s Greatest Job, is teaching newcomers how to break into Internet criticism and grow a career from there.

I must admit that I had reservations if it was possible to condense film reviewing techniques with all of its complexities into a 255 page informative manual.

But Null’s manual goes a long way toward assuaging my doubts.

Written in a lively and organized manner,

7 Persuasive Reasons Why Men Should Shave Their Privates

by E-NewsCast Team
January 30th, 2010

Here are seven reasons why men should consider shaving their privates. No, I’m not talking about Privates in the Army, although a “soldier” at attention, with a shiny helmet and a loaded weapon, is definitely involved.

Most men worry obsessively about the hair on their heads but rarely give a second thought to their pubic hair. Only when the time is right with that special lady do men realize they should have spent some time grooming their privates. Guys, here are 7 compelling reasons why you should groom your pubic hair or even remove it completely.

1. Cleanliness. The crotch is a focal point for heat, sweat, and bacteria. Cropping or removing your pubic hair makes that area much easier to keep clean, and more importantly, smelling clean and manly. She’s more likely to explore that area up close if it’s well maintained.

2. Novelty.

Feedback in Your Photography

by E-NewsCast Team
January 30th, 2010

There is a guy called Pendleton. You won’t have heard of him but he is well known in Britain, at least in medical circles. He was a family physician with a love of medical education and used to teach doctors to become better family doctors.

One of the things he developed was “Pendleton’s Rules”. This was a process of feedback on a task between two or more people. It was designed to be safe, non-threatening and constructive.

It is still used today, and in fact, Pendleton is still alive and well – at least he was at the time this article was written. His rules can be transferred into virtually any situation where feedback is justified.

For example, when viewing images and giving your opinion. Or when discussing tasks and routines in photography.

It’s a really simple set of rules which follows the following broad pattern:

- the person wishing feedback talks first and states

Pet Odor & Stain Remover Selection Guide

by E-NewsCast Team
January 30th, 2010

There are a number of pet odor and stain removal products available to today’s pet owner. Some may differ in how they work, whether they be organic products or absorption products, while others differ in how they are applied. Also, there are different products for old stains, as opposed to newly formed stains.

It is important to remember, that you should use a pet specific odor or stain remover instead of the products you have for human caused household stains.

This is because your pet’s use their sense of smell, which for dogs can be greater than 100 times that of our own. Using their noses, they determine locations that are acceptable spots for relieving themselves, which can become a problem when they determine a spot indoors is such a place. Unfortunately, a majority of Odor & Stain removers manufactured for Human Use, do not eliminate the urine odor that
