Shark Fishing: A New Found Addiction

by E-NewsCast Team
July 31st, 2010

Shark Fishing From the BeachIt is a well known fact that in the summertime many Sharks move from the deeper waters offshore into inland waterways and beaches. Why do they do this? Well the Sharks seek warmer shallow waters to carry out mating rituals and to either lay eggs or give live birth. So why is this important? It is very important if you are interested in swimming or in landing huge fish from the bank. There is no other type of fishing (that I know of) where the angler has an exceptional chance of hooking on to a 500lb plus fish while fishing from the bank.

Living near the Gulf of Mexico during my youth my family would take at least one vacation each summer to the beach. Week long vacations at the beach can sometimes get a little boring for a kid who grew up in the Hardwood Bottoms

by E-NewsCast Team
July 31st, 2010

We all watched the recent tragedy of hurricane Katrina, most ofus from the comfort of our living rooms. The devastation of somany lost homes and shattered lives was heart wrenching. But thepart that made me hug my dog tight was watching the agony ofpeople who were forced to leave behind their pets.People have a special connection with their pets, as evidencedby the thousands who would not leave their dogs and cats behindin order to evacuate to higher ground. This sacred bond ofunconditional love is a natural starting place for healing aftertragedy, for the victims and for the rest of us, too. After you send in your money, donate clothes or open your home, there is one more thing you can do to help: meditate. Even morehelpful, you can meditate with your dog.Meditation is compassion in action, and it isn’t just for theesoteric few. Meditation is a profoundly practical tool thatenhances everyday …

Pomona, King of the Mountain Race

by E-NewsCast Team
July 31st, 2010

Running has many legends. Take ‘Marathon’ for instance. In 490BC, Phidippides ran all the way from Marathon (a place inGreece) to Athens, a distance of 26.2 miles, to inform Athens ofits win over the Persians in the Battle of Marathon. He said’Nenikikamen’ (we were victorious), and died. The legend aroundKing of the Mountain Race is almost as romantic. It all goesback to 1958, when Bruce Samuels, a local footballer and railwayporter, claimed that he went up the nearby Mt. Cooroora (438metres) and made it back within an hour, eliciting the scoffsand taunts of idling drinker in the local bar. A bet was placed, and with the whole town of Pomona watching, Bruce made thedistance in an astonishing forty minutes. The feat was recordedon the wall of the hotel bar. The record fell the very next yearto a 21 year old Barry Webb. The same year the first officialPomona King of the …

Original Concepts To Market On Your Website

by E-NewsCast Team
July 31st, 2010

If you can offer something unique, that no other website has, then you will have original content for your website. You canstart to achieve this by looking up information that would be ofinterest to your “target” or “niche” market. Start by lookingfor unanswered questions, and then try to answer thosequestions. Sometimes it can take a lot of time and research tocome up with a solution, but when you do find a solution, whatonce seemed like non-existent information, is now easily foundon your website. Just because you have figured out a solution, that does not mean that the solution didn’t exist at all, usually it just isn’t readily available on the net. It could bethat the information is being taught in seminars for veryabsorbent costs. If you can develop an ebook, or something ofthe like, you could be giving people the exact same valuableinformation for a fraction of what those big seminar places arecharging …

Solar Pumps and Solar Lights for Ponds

by E-NewsCast Team
July 31st, 2010

As the president of a company that sells a lot of fountainpumps, and who also receives a lot of OEM inquiries, I’ve beenaround the block on solar pumps. They seem like such a greatidea. No wiring needed! No electric bill! I tried to sell solarpumps to major fountain manufacturers but never got a sample toone of them that could pass muster. Many customers believe that we are just too lazy to try solar,or we don’t want to cut into a 110-volt market that is alreadydoing well. But the truth of the matter is that solar still runsinto quite a few problems, not the least of which has been, inmy experience, not enough sunlight! You see, most of the solar pumps out there are powered by solarpanels (many of them quite good quality, by the way) thatrequire direct sunlight in order to work. That means that theygo on and off all day long, …
