You’ll be happy to know that there are a number of foods youcan indulge in while on a detox diet. These include fruits,vegetables, rice, chickpeas, fish, oil, and herbal tea. Whilefollowing the diet, you’ll also need to drink eight glasses ofwater in order to eliminate waste from the blood. However, youshould not drink immediately before or after your meals. Youshould also make sure that you chew your food thoroughly inorder to promote proper digestion. However, there are also a number of foods that you will have togive up. These include sugar, milk, eggs, wheat products,gluten, and caffeine-filled beverages. You must also avoid foodswith preservatives, yeast, chocolate, and anything that is highin fat. Is it possible to lose weight with the detox diet? Mostdefinitely. But you could have a difficult time keeping theweight off since you will eventually have to go off of the diet.However, it is possible that some of the dietary guidelines thatyou observe while detoxing will continue long after the diet isover. Also, just giving up alcohol will ensure that you willlose weight. For instance, you may find that you simply loseyour taste for food high in fat content. Nevertheless, the detoxdiet can be quite challenging–especially if you are emotionallyattached to the foods that are banned.
