Viagra and Women’s Heart
Viagra has made a big name for itself in the field of erectile dysfunction (ED) treatment. The wonder drug is playing great role in boosting men’s sex lives. But apart from this well known benefit, Viagra is also effective against pulmonary arterial hypertension, which mostly affects women. The Food and Drug Administration of the U.S. cleared the drug for use against pulmonary arterial hypertension in June 2005 after clinical trials. In Australia, it is undergoing the approval process set by the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
The research on Viagra’s ability to treat heart disease was pioneered by German scientists Friedrich Grimminger and Werner Seeger. The version of the drug used for pulmonary arterial hypertension is called Revatio, and it’s available in a different color and shape to viagra. Though both Viagra and Revatio have the same active ingredient known as slidenafil citrate but their functionality is different.
Apart from being beneficial for women’s heart, some recent reports suggest that the popular erectile dysfunction drug Viagra is beneficial for kids as well. It’s successful in treating pulmonary hypertension, a devastating disease for children. Pulmonary hypertension happens when the artery carrying blood from the heart to the lungs becomes constricted, causing the heart to swell and beat too fast.
Viagra is effective in this regard because it opens up the blood vessels without any side effects, unlike other drugs available in the market. It’s able to relax the blood vessels in the lung without relaxing the blood vessels in any other part of the body. The best part is that Viagra treatment has no sexual side effects for girls, but there can be some form of side effects for boys. And if it happens, the treatment should be stopped.
So, the benefits of Viagra are innumerable. Apart from uplifting your pale and lifeless sexual life, it can also provide relief from other life threatening diseases.
